Let Yourself Cry.

Agnieszka was found collecting sea glass by the sea.

As a ceramics artist from Poland, she frequently finds inspiration through the Earth, the sea, and its glass. She has been coming to this beach several times this week, collecting glass for an art workshop back in Poland. She smiled by the seaside and continued walking along the beach, hoping to find little glass treasures.

The Color of Freedom

Coming to the sea, Agnieszka feels free. It’s here that she indulges in the fresh sea scents, watching how the color of the water changes.

Agnieszka even started describing how the Inuit natives of Canada have 100 words to describe the color of the snow. These natives have words in their language to explain the different movements of snow and how it interacts with the world. She quietly wondered if Greek people have 100 words to describe the different hues or motions of the sea, too.

Let Yourself Cry

Six years ago, Agnieszka lost her husband to liver cancer. Today, sitting on a beach in Greece, she cries with joy that she is alive and finds herself feeling full of life.

“Let yourself cry,” Agnieszka said. Today, she finds healing through therapy, crying, and clay.
